PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

The Phenix City man who is accused of exposing his private parts in public pled guilty to several charges in court on April 15.

Zachary Belitz was charged with seven counts of indecent exposure. He admitted to flashing children in public areas and multiple Phenix City supermarkets including Walmart, Publix, and Piggly Wiggly.

Belitz struck a deal with the District Attorney and has been ordered to pay $2,544 in fines, receive treatment, and register as a sex offender. He also has to turn himself in to the Russell County Jail by 6 p.m. on April 16, to serve a 30 day suspended sentence. The judge gave him a year of hard labor to be served concurrently, but suspended the term to 30 days.

The judge warned Belitz that if he exposes himself again he will be charged with a felony and could serve considerable time.

The judge issued a continuance for August 14 to make sure Belitz is attending an ordered program and to get an update on his treatment.
