DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Utility work will impact Decatur drivers in two areas starting next week.

On Monday, April 21, utility work will begin between 3711 Montclair Road and 3801 High Point Drive in southwest Decatur.

The project is expected to take four weeks to finish. Most of the work will be between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. Drivers are asked to use extreme caution when traveling through the construction zone.

Ground utility work will begin Tuesday, April 22, along Wimberly Drive. Decatur Utilities said the entrance onto Wimberly from Spring Avenue will be closed while the work takes place.

The utility work is expected to take two days to complete. Crews will work from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Traffic will be detoured along Sims street SW for access to businesses along the Wimberly Drive corridor.
