MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A man in under arrest after leading Alabama State Troopers on a chase Monday.

Sergeant Steve Jarrett says a Trooper attempted to stop 41-year-old John Wesley Baldwin for a traffic violation on I-85 near Day Street, when he bailed from the vehicle.

Baldwin proceeded to jump a fence, entering a neighborhood, where he then got onto a motorcycle heading toward downtown Montgomery.

Baldwin was captured on I-85 by a State Capitol Police Officer. He has been taken into custody and is charged with attempting to elude.

No other information is known at this time as the investigation continues.
