MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A Montgomery murder suspect is accused of shooting a witness while out on bond.

Satarus Smith was arrested and charged with murder in the  Dec. 11 shooting death of Charles Holley, 22, of Montgomery, Gibbs Drive.

Smith was out on bond on the murder charge when authorities say he robbed and shot a witness in the murder case on April 12. According to court documents, Smith shot the victim in the face and the victim suffered broken jaw.

Smith now faces assault, robbery and intimidating a witness charges.
