Mesa police seek help to ID homicide victim

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

The Mesa Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a homicide victim found on a city sidewalk March 27.

Police said the man, identified only as Hispanic, was found next to a bicycle on a sidewalk in the 200 block of South Barkley, a police spokesman said.

The body had obvious signs of trauma and detectives have not been able to find a positive identification, the spokesman said.

Detectives were still trying to find suspects, as well, the spokesman said.

Anyone with information about the victim or about any suspicious activity or persons are asked to call the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377).
