Anger toward Donald Sterling spreads across social media
Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has been under fire since TMZ released an audio recording of Sterling allegedly telling his girlfriend that he doesn't want her to bring black people to his games or post pictures with black people on Instagram.
Released on Saturday, the tape begins in the middle of an argument between Sterling and his girlfriend, S. Stiviano. During the alleged argument, Sterling appears to be upset that Stiviano, who herself is black and Mexican, has been posting photos to Instagram with black people -- in particular, with Magic Johnson.
The Clippers saying they don't want him to attend anymore games and in a form of protest, players wore their warm-ups inside out Sunday.
Adam McKay, director of the "Anchorman" movies and "Talladega Nights," tweeted the intention to get ride of his Clippers season tickets. Jeremiah Rivers, son of Clippers coach Doc Rivers, tweeted in part, "Racism isn't born, it's taught. It is the refuge of ignorance and seeks to divide and destroy."
Dolphins protect long-distance swimmer from shark
Swimmer Adam Walker found himself swimming New Zealand's Cook Strait as part of a mission to swim seven long-distance swims in sites around the world. He is also trying to raise funds for Stop Whaling, a nonprofit focused on whale and dolphin conservation.
That's what makes this next video so awesome.
During his 16-mile swim on April 22, he spotted a great white shark beneath him in the choppy waters. A pod of 10 dolphins quickly surrounded him and stayed by his side until the shark swam off.
"I'd like to think they were protecting me and guiding me home!!!" he posted on his Facebook page after the swim.
Walker crossed the Cook Strait in 8 hours and 36 minutes. He is already most of the way through the ocean's seven challenge with his final swim in August, when he will attempt to swim the North Channel between Ireland and Scotland.
