BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

It was with heavy hearts that family and friends of 28-year-old Sharday Ware met at Railroad Park Thursday to remember her.

Ware and her boyfriend were killed Friday in Ensley. The two were found by Ware's 7-year-old daughter.

"The hardest part is knowing that her daughter is still here without her mama," Ware's cousin, Latoya Moreland, said.

Moreland said the two grew up together and were inseparable.

"When she needed me I was there and if I needed her she was there," said Moreland.

As loved ones held pictures of a young Ware, others wept. For some of Ware's family her death still doesn't seem real.

"I didn't believe it at first because I had just seen her the night before," said Darnetta Smith, a family member of Ware's.

Police believe Ware and her boyfriend knew the people who killed them and that more than one person committed the crime. As police continue to search for answers loved ones continue to hold hope for justice.

"It's just so hard to believe that someone would take her life about nothin', about nothing," said Moreland.

Police tell FOX6 News they have pretty good information about who may have killed the couple. They're hoping to make arrests and charges by the week's end.
