JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -  New questions are being raised over the commercial use of drones after many of the tornado damage videos in Central Arkansas were shot using the devices.

Some of the video showing the damage in El Paso, Arkansas, after a deadly tornado was shot by Steve Porchet of Clear Shot Productions.

He used a remotely piloted aircraft fitted with a camera, popularly referred to as a drone.

The Federal Aviation Administration is now investigating the use of drones in Arkansas after a Little Rock television station broadcast drone video shot minutes after a tornado tore through Mayflower Sunday.

"We're new. It's just like anything else. We're new so they're not quite sure what they need to do and they think they need to regulate, but they're not sure what they need to regulate," Porchet said.

He has no problem with the FAA regulating the new technology that companies are reportedly starting to use in real estate, package delivery and even farming

Porchet said the issue is coming to a consensus on how to protect privacy and the First Amendment.

"I think they should have a panel of people that are flying these, and they need to have the FAA and people need to sit down and figure out what the rules and the regulations are going to be."
