Police investigate deaths of husband and wife

SPRINGFIELD, MO (KCTV/AP) -

Springfield police say they are investigating the deaths of man and woman in south Springfield as a double homicide.

Police were sent to check on 60-year-old Gary Tyrell and 61-year-old Jan Tyrell Thursday about 7 p.m. at their house on South Greenbrier Avenue near East Ridgewood Street after relatives reported they had not been able to contact the couple.

Officers found the victims dead inside their home and are investigating it as a double homicide.
