Separate shootings hours apart leave 4 injured in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities are investigating four separate shootings within a two hour timeframe late Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

The first shooting was reported just before midnight after a victim walked into an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. The shooting purportedly occurred at Linwood Boulevard and Indiana Avenue. 

Kansas City police were unable to find a crime scene, and no suspect information was provided.

About an hour later, a second victim showed up at the University of Kansas Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The shooting was said to of occurred at Westport Road and Mill Street as a result of street fight.

The suspect was described as a man wearing a dark hoodie.

A drive-by shooting was also reported in the 5800 block of Blue Hills Road. The victim in this case arrived at an area hospital shortly after 1:30 a.m. Their injures were not considered life-threatening.

A fourth victim arrived at a hospital 20 minutes later with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his right thigh about. The shooting purportedly occurred at East 67th Street and College Avenue.

The victim did not provide a consistent account of the shooting, police say, and investigators were unable to find a crime scene.
