The 2nd Annual Movement in the Park was held on Sunday at Forsyth Park.
The event was organized and hosted by WTOC's very own Dawn Baker. It was all about getting people healthy by getting them moving. Participants could learn zumba, yoga, and kickboxing from WTOC's Lynda Figueredo, and even some break dancing. The event benefited the "Dawning of a Miracle" scholarship, which Dawn gives to a senior with a chronic or life threatening illness.
"Everybody knows the cost of living is going up, and especially college, and as a student with chronic illness, I suffer from a brain tumor. It's just that medical bills, and trying to afford going to college, is really expensive. So, this has really been a blessing to me to help further my education," said Aijalon Lawrence, last year's recipient of "Dawning of a Miracle Scholarship.
Movement in the Park also included a health and wellness fair.
