HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Family and friends of Huntsville homicide victims gathered in Big Spring Park to remember their loved ones in the 14th annual Homicide Survivors' Candlelight Vigil.

Organizers said they hope the event brings awareness to the community about the increase of crime and violence in the Rocket City.

Huntsville has seen 10 homicides in just the first four months of 2014. Click here to learn more about the victims and their related cases.
