BLOUNT COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting deaths of two zebras on a Blount County farm.

Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey announced the arrest of 22-year-old Timothy Wayne House, Jr. on Facebook on Thursday.

Court records show House was charged with two counts of aggravated animal abuse and two counts of second degree criminal mischief.

A Blount County grand jury indicted House last week, according to Casey's post.

Two zebras, Zippy and her daughter Zena, were found shot to death on the Sherrod family farm in Oneonta on Feb. 22. The zebras were rescue animals.

The investigation is still ongoing, Casey said. The Blount County Sheriff's Office says they are not releasing House's mug shot at this time.
