ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -

It was a beautiful day for a bass fishing tournament, and an even better day to raise money for a good cause.

The city of Athens "Relay for Life" team reeled in $7,000 for the American Cancer Society.

This year's winner, Eddie and Shane Jewell, hooked a nearly five pound bass. Saturday's event at Ingall's Harbor brings the Athens Team Fundraiser total to $17,000.
