Heavy spring rains have slowed progress at the Albany Dougherty Industrial site, but county officials say they're starting to get back on track.

County workers are installing a sewer line and building a road near the entrance.   Economic development officials are working to find a heavy manufacturer that could utilize the site's railroad access for its business.

"It's slowed progress up a little bit and we have had other challenges at the park," said EDC Chief Justin Strickland. "But through the help of the county we have overcome those challenges and continue to develop the park."

Work is expected to be complete in about a year.
