A car hit a concrete median and overturned Monday afternoon.
Westbound 565 traffic was backed up for miles while crews responded.
MADISON, AL (WAFF) -
Emergency crews responded to the scene of a rollover wreck on I-565 that impacted rush hour traffic in Madison Monday afternoon.
The wreck happened around 4:30 p.m. near the Greenbrier Road exit. Police said a Pontiac Grand Am was traveling westbound when it struck a concrete divider in the median and overturned.
Traffic backed up for several miles in the westbound lanes while crews responded to the crash.
Authorities identified the driver as 21-year-old Keith Foster and the passenger as D-Anthony KeShawn Kidd, 26, both of Way Conyers, Georgia. Both were transported to Huntsville Hospital. Foster's injuries, according to Huntsville Police, were life-threatening.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
