PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police said they have arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault in 2006.

Calvin Deshawa Siah, 28, was linked to the assault when his DNA matched that in a rape kit from 2006, according to a Phoenix officer's probable cause statement.

Siah and three of his friends were suspected of luring two women to his apartment in the area of Thomas Road and 56th Street in September of 2006 to recruit them into prostitution, the officer said. Siah and another man are suspected of sexually assaulting one woman.

The woman was extremely intoxicated and unconscious during the assault, the officer said. The second woman walked in on the sexual assault, saw the two men having sex with her friend and told police said she was fondled against her will. She also said she heard the suspects talk about sodomizing her friend, according to the officer.

Police contacted the second suspect in 2014 and he told them that on the night of the alleged assault, he saw the second victim run from the bedroom and yell at the suspects for sexually assaulting her friend.

The first victim told police shortly after the incident in 2006 that she believed she had been sodomized and suffered several injuries from the incident, the officer said.

Siah's DNA was linked to the rape kit evidence in November and police began searching for him, culminating in his arrest Monday, the officer said.

Siah was booked into jail on two counts of felony sexual assault.
