Avon recalls eyelash curler after reported injuries

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

An ergonomic eyelash curler has been recalled by cosmetics company Avon due to a risk of eye injury, according to the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

The curler, sold by Avon through its website and network of representatives, can break and expose a metal pin. Avon has received 24 reports of the curler breaking. 13 of those reports include injury, three of which required medical attention.

The affected product model number is F3093441 and can be found on the original packaging.

Consumers are asked to stop using the product immediately. Customers can call Avon Products toll-free at (877) 217-5076. The company is offering a refund or complimentary mascara in exchange for the product.
