POWDERSVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A few Anderson County District One schools were briefly locked down Wednesday morning after an armed robbery was reported nearby, according to the district.

School district spokesperson Jane Harrison said the robbery was reported at the Spinx on Highway 153, prompting the lockdowns the nearby schools.

Concrete Elementary and Powdersville elementary, middle and high schools were locked down.

She said the lockdowns were called off about 15 minutes later when they realized the robbery was actually a fight between two people at the gas station and no weapons were involved.
