AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

On Tuesday, May 13, 2014 the Auburn Police Division arrested 21-year-old Detarius D. Prince and 21-year-old William E. Bufford, both from Tuskegee, on felony warrants charging them each with unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and third degree theft of property.

The arrest is the result of an investigation of a police report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and theft of property that was reported the same day.

The victim told officers that an unknown individual unlawfully entered her vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe while it was parked at her place of employment, located in the 300 block of Webster Road and stole a Samsung cell phone valued at $350.

Auburn Police initiated an investigation into the incident and immediately developed Prince and Bufford, who are co-workers of the victim, as suspects.  They were subsequently located by police and arrested, and the property was recovered.

Prince and Bufford were transported to the Lee County Jail and will each be eligible for a $4,000 bond.
