MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Surveillance video has been released of the suspect in the shooting of a Montgomery convenience store clerk Wednesday.

Montgomery police are asking the public to help identify and locate the suspect. A $1,000 reward is also being offered.

At approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday, a man walked into the 4 Way Convenient Store at 1408 Mobile Rd., and shot the clerk during a robbery.

The clerk was critically injured and transported to the hospital.

The suspect was wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants, black hat and a blue bandana. He left on foot and walked into the neighborhood behind the store.
