MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A family of twelve has sent seven children to college. This isn't unusual, until you learn all of the children started college by the age of 12!

The familiar Montgomery family was featured again on NBC's Today Show Thursday morning. The Hardings, as we know them, did a sit-down interview with Matt Lauer discussing how they sent the kids to college so early.

The family also talked about their new book, "The Brainy Bunch: The Harding Family's Method to College Ready by Age Twelve."

Kip and Mona Lisa, the parents of the academic over-achievers, says they aren't doing anything different. The kids still have friends and play sports like normal children. "We didn't have this great plan," Mona Lisa says. "It just kind of happened. We started home schooling and it was very efficient."

Being a military family, they moved a lot. It became much easier for the kids to go to home school year-round.

Matt Lauer asked the family what they thought about the people at home saying, "What about the chance to just be a kid?" Father Kip: "You're unleashing the inner kid, because you're letting them do what they want to do in life."

Lauer also asked the kids to raise their hands if at any point during the process they didn't like it what they were doing. Not one child raised their hand.

The family's book is on sale now.
