LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) -

Roslyn Renee Daniels, 26, of Daleville, Ala. was arrested in Lee County, Ala. at around 12:09 CDST on charges of trafficking marijuana and cocaine.

Lee County Sheriffs' Investigator conducted a traffic stop on a grey 2007 Hyundai Tuscon SUV for traffic violation on Interstate 85 near exit 64 in Opelika, Ala. While talking to the driver, the Investigator reportedly smelled a strong odor of raw marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle.

A search revealed approximately 50 lbs. of marijuana and half a kilo of cocaine. The recovered marijuana has an estimated street value of more than $50,000, and the cocaine, approximately $15,000.

"We have circumstances simply where a lot of illicit drugs are going up and down this interstate, says Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones. "In these occasions where we're able to detect and find, and of course apprehend individuals involved in that, it is keeping those drugs out of our communities by intercepting them before they get to the point of distribution."

Daniels is currently being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.
