Dozens of food trucks will pack downtown Huntsville Friday night for the second food truck gathering of the season.
More than 7,000 people came out for April's food truck gathering. Because of the large response, organizers decided to switch things up for Friday's gathering and move the trucks from A.M. Booth's Lumberyard, where it was held last month, to Fountain Circle.
At last month's gathering, there were long lines and some trucks running out of food but for Downtown Huntsville, Inc. CEO Chad Emerson, that's a good problem to have.
"We knew from some of the Facebook post that we had that there was going to be a nice crowd. We've had big crowds, but when we saw the masses of people coming towards the food trucks, we knew for May we were going to have to grow it even larger," said Emerson.
Friday's event is free to attend and will be from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., you just have to pay for your food at the trucks.
