ASU hosts summer Performing Arts Camps

Tonea Stewart Performing Arts Camps, hosted at Alabama State University, gives children and adults alike a change to receive world-class training in theatre without having to travel far.

The program not only introduces participants to the exciting world of theatre, it also helps build self-esteem, confidence, character and individual uniqueness. This program brings in more than 500 people a year from across the United States.

Participants receive instruction through classes, workshops and training sessions with qualified teachers and special guests. One of the most beneficial programs that is offered is 'GIFTED.' This program helps participants with disabilities the opportunity to express themselves in a spirited environment.

The camps start June 2 and go through July 13 and are categorized by interest and age.

It is highly encouraged to register now as there is limited spaces, and Scholarships are also available.
