JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) - The long awaited Tupelo Honey Cafe has finally announced an opening date.

An official with the restaurant coming to downtown Johnson City told us it will open its doors June 16th.

After a drastic transformation, the historic railroad depot in downtown is now almost ready serve up southern cuisine with a twist at Tupelo Honey.

The restaurant will only be open for dinner for the first couple of weeks, but after June 30th will start its normal hours.

Tupelo Honey Cafe hours:

June 16-30: open for dinner at 4p.m.

After June 30:

  • Monday- Thursday 11 a.m. -9 p.m.
  • Friday 11 a. m.-10 p.m.
  • Saturday 9a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Sunday 9 a.m.-9p.m.
