DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities arrested a woman for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from a fast food restaurant in DeKalb County.

Lindy Ladd Brennan, 40, of Stevenson, was arrested after investigators received a report that more than $4,000 was stolen from the Jack's restaurant in Henagar. The theft happened May 15. Authorities said evidence led them to Brennan who was an employee at the time of the theft.

Brennan was charged with first-degree theft of property and booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center on $15,000 bond.

"I'm glad our officers and the Henagar Police Department were able to work this case so quickly. The staff of Jack's was great in helping get evidence to help close this case," said Sheriff Jimmy Harris.
