TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Tuscaloosa officials have arrested a man suspected of setting fire to his own home three months ago.

Michael Jah Williams is charged with one count of first degree arson. Tuscaloosa authorities accuse Williams of setting the fire that burned his townhome in the 3800 block of Sheffield Court in February.

A bystander noticed the blaze, called 911 and kicked in the door to see if anyone was home at the time of the fire. Two of the bedrooms were burned, Gene Holcomb with Tuscaloosa Fire Marshall's Office said. No one was injured in the fire.

Williams was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Thursday, May 22. His bond is set at $60,000.
