HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville police officers conducted an internet prostitution sting after they got tips from citizens and local businesses.

Officers arrested four suspects as a result of the investigation. Investigators said the suspects were using the internet to solicit clients to engage in sex for money.

Tammie Denise Garner, of Oakman, and Tiffany Lee Meck, of Decatur, were charged with soliciting prostitution. Geneva Elaine Meck, also of Decatur, was charged with aiding and abetting prostitution.

Police also arrested Dewaun Cartral Stephens, of Huntsville. He faces two counts of first degree human trafficking.

Stephens was booked into Metro Jail on $100,000 bond.

Authorities said drugs are usually involved with prostitution, but that was not the case in this bust.

"On this for instance, you'll see that we had a mother that actually brought her daughter," said Huntsville Police Sergeant Mark Roberts. "(The mother) transported her daughter for this and come to find out, that was for money. There wasn't drugs involved per se, but it was a way of making a lot of money very easily and quickly."
