BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

A young girl battling cancer received magical news Thursday: she's going to Disney World!

Abigail Calvo, 6, recently went through surgery and three round of chemo because of a tumor in her ovary. She's now cancer free but also suffers from two rare diseases.

"She's been through a lot. She deserves it," Kimberly Calvo, Abigail's mom, said.

Abigail says she wants to see Mickey Mouse. Her family plans to take their trip this fall.

Abigail's wish was granted by Magic Moments and BB&T Lighthouse Project. Several other Magic Moments recipients were recognized Thursday. All the children had a chance to warm up with the Barons and watch the players warm up on the field.

Sean, a 14-year-old from Mountain Brook, was named "Baron for the Day." The cancer survivor got his own locker and watched the game from the dugout. Malachi, 9, of Pelham, is battling a blood disease. He had the honor of throwing the first pitch.
