FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -

Police are warning Franklin residents to be on the lookout after daytime burglaries at two different apartment complexes this week.

On Wednesday, thieves forced open the doors of two apartments at Shadow Green, a non-gated community on Toll House Circle.

The next day, thieves broke into two apartments by forcing open doors at Wyndchase Aspen Grove, a gated community on Aspen Grove Drive.

Valuables were stolen from three of the four apartments. One of apartments was vacant at the time of the burglary.

Police say all of the apartments are next to the woods or privacy areas that aren't easily seen.

Officers have increased patrols and are hoping to catch the thieves but are asking neighbors to look out for each other, especially those who are at home during the day.

Anyone who notices suspicious activity is asked to call the Franklin Police Department.
