NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies arrested two women Thursday after they allegedly slapped their 83-year-old mother and tried to push her out of the driver's seat of her car because she refused to put gas in their car and take them to a "dope dealer's house."

Jackie Renee Tubbe Shannon, 49, and Judith Tubbe Butler, 64, both of Nacogdoches, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Each woman was charged with third-degree felony injury to the elderly. Each woman's bail was set at $25,000.

According to the arrest affidavit, Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies responded to the mother's home on Thursday. The affidavit stated that Shannon and Butler tried to get their mother to pay to put gas in their car and then take them to a "dope dealer's" house to buy drugs.

When the 83-year-woman told her daughters no, they allegedly injured her by slapping her and pushing her in an effort to get her out of the driver's seat of her vehicle. The affidavit said the victim suffered bruising to her hands and arms.

Both women were arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
