Cab driver robbed at knifepoint

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville police said a cab driver was robbed at knifepoint by two passengers early Sunday.

The victim, a driver for A Plus Cab, told police he picked up two men near Springtime Boulevard and drove them near the 2200 block of Meadowbrook Drive around 3 a.m. Once there, the victim said they robbed cash from him at knifepoint and fled the area.

During the robbery, police said the victim was cut with the knife by one of the robbers. The victim was seen by a passerby around 6:30 a.m., who called police. Officers said the victim was taken to Huntsville Hospital by HEMSI for minor cuts to his neck and arm.

No one has been arrested yet. This investigation is ongoing.
