SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

The Selma Police Department arrested 31-year-old Terrance Jamaal White and 33-year-old Narada Barry White, no relation, on Saturday after they allegedly robbed a store.

Police say that they responded to the 1300 block of Highland Avenue at 4 p.m. on Saturday in reference to a robbery. While police were responding to the call, a police dispatcher was on the phone with a witness that had followed the alleged suspects to a nearby housing complex. The two suspects were attempting to catch a ride with an unsuspecting tenant from the complex.

With the help of the witness, when officers arrived on scene they were able to stop the vehicle. Officers detained the two suspects and transported them to the Selma Police Department for interviews.

Upon investigation, police determined that both suspects had been in the business that was robbed on three separate occasions. On the third visit is when the robbery occurred.

Detectives determined that Terrance White allegedly pushed the cashier away from the cash register when it was opened for another customer, and grabbed money from the register while Narada White was acting as look-out.

Both men were later transported to the Dallas County Jail where they were both charged with second degree robbery. No bond has been set at this time.
