GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The Guntersville City Council is expected to set a public hearing date for the rezoning of some property that has some residents uneasy.

City council members narrowly passed the recommendation to change 17 acres along Highway 79 South from residential to industrial status.

Sunrise Industries wants to expand but has no more room in the nearby industrial park.

Residents said they want to know the company's plans to see how it would impact their quality of life.

The public hearing date is expected to be announced at Monday night's meeting.
