MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Madison County judge sentenced a Huntsville man to 25 years in jail for his involvement in a deadly wreck.

Jason Christopher Gentle was convicted of reckless murder after he was involved in a deadly accident in 2011.

Robert Walker, 73, of Ardmore was riding his motorcycle when he was hit by Gentle, who was driving a truck at the time. Walker later died.

Gentle's defense attorney said his client has always been remorseful over the wreck.

"He feels completely responsible," said attorney Chad Morgan. "It's a horrible tragedy for both sides. I hope the best for the victim's family and for my client's family."

Gentle was charged with possession of a controlled substance and DUI after the wreck that killed Walker.
