(CNN) - The Taliban has released video of the transfer of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from Taliban to U.S. hands.

Narration on the video says the transfer took place in Khost province, in eastern Afghanistan.

U.S. officials had previously said the transfer took place on Saturday.

The video shows Bergdahl sitting in a pickup waiting, with a number of heavily armed fighters around the truck and on a nearby hillside.

A twin-engine light plane is seen flying overhead, followed a short time later with the arrival of a Blackhawk helicopter.

Bergdahl is taken to the helicopter, which quickly departs.
