DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

The Dothan Police Department says it has arrested a suspect in connection to a Tuesday burglary in the 500 block of East Selma Street.

Authorities say Anthony Jermaine Jackson, 35, is charged with second degree burglary and second degree domestic violence after he tried to break into the home of a person with whom he was recently in a relationship.

Dothan Police Chief Gregory Benton's office says Jackson tried to break in through one of the windows and during his attempt allegedly threatened to kill the victim.

The homeowner confronted him, according to investigators, and he ran from the scene.

Jackson was found and arrested several blocks from the home. He is being held without bond.
