GARDENDALE, Ala. (AP) -

Police in suburban Birmingham say they're searching for six people accused of being involved in a financial fraud scheme.

Gardendale police say an investigation into financial fraud mostly along the I-65 corridor from Birmingham to Huntsville led to six men being named as suspects.

Police say the men, who range between 24 and 27 years old, stole victims' personal and financial information and bought gift cards to pay personal expenses and to fund the activities of Birmingham-based rap group "Hood Dynasty." Authorities say some of the suspects are affiliated with the group.

Police say 164 felony warrants have been signed in the case. Authorities say the men are at large and face several charges including fraudulent use of a credit card, identity theft, trafficking stolen identities and theft of property.
