PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) -

A person of interest in a Petersburg quadruple homicide has been spotted in North Carolina.

U.S. Marshals confirm Alexander Hill Jr. was seen on surveillance video in Rocky Mount, back on Easter Sunday. The video pinpoints Hill's location less that 24 hours after Petersburg police say he killed three women and a toddler, and then set their house on fire.

Hill is also wanted for violating a protective order, providing false information to police, and assault. Petersburg police say Hill should be considered armed and dangerous.

"We know he's still alive number one so we know there's still a chance for him to be brought to justice," says Marlow Jones. He says the family is still grieving over the loss of their four loved ones: Pauline Wilkins, Wilkins' daughter Vicki Ansar, Ansar's daughter Tanique Chavis and her two year old son Delvari. Jones is a Petersburg fire marshal who had to recuse himself from the investigation.

"We just went through a Mother's Day without all those mothers," he said.

U.S. Marshals say on Easter Sunday, which was less than 24 hours after the murder; Hill Jr. took a taxi to Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. A surveillance photo was taken at a Waffle House in the city.  Later, Hill paid a man to drive him to the Amtrak Station in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Video shows him walking around the empty station.

Jones says the community needs to keep the pressure on Hill Junior. "We're going to catch you, I'm looking for you, my family is looking for you, the police are looking for you all over the nation and you can't hide, you can't hide," he said.

According to investigators, Hill has connections to Richmond, Newport News, Virginia Beach, and Trinidad and police believe Hill is aware he's wanted.

Family of the victims say Hill has a history with a woman who lived in the 700 block of Harding Street, but that woman wasn't among those killed. A family spokesperson also says family members in that homes have been threatened several times in the past. The victims are Pauline Wilkins, her daughter Vicki Ansar, Ansar's daughter Tanique "Missy" Chavis and her two year old son, Deldari Chavis.

Anyone with information about Hill's whereabouts should call Crime Solvers at (804) 861-1212.
