DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

The head of the Dothan City School system is a finalist for another position in the Birmingham area, according to Chris Segroves, President of the Gardendale Board of Education.

Superintendent Tim Wilder is scheduled to interview for the same position in Gardendale on Friday, Segroves confirmed.

Calls to Superintendent Wilder's office for comment have been unsuccessful.

Segroves says a decision on which candidate to hire is expected to be made in July, 2014.

Wilder was appointed as Dothan's superintendent by a unanimous decision in July, 2011.
