Montgomery Motor Speedway to host Late Model Racing Saturday

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery Motor Speedway has been known for its quality racing and high level of competition for years.

On Saturday night, the Pro Late Models will take to the track for twin 50 lap features.

Hunter Robbins, a local racer, will try to keep his winning streak on the track, after achieving victory in the 'Spring Explosion 100' earlier in the season.

Jasper Alabama native John Tyler Bolen will try to give Robbins a run for his money, as he was the leader of over 80 laps in the first pro late model contest of 2014.

"We are excited about this format" stated Track General Manager Stan Narrison "The drivers will have to get up on the wheel and not just ride around."

Drivers will qualify for their starting positions in the first 50 lap feature and then the top ten will redraw for the starting positions in the second feature.

There will also be a kids bike race, as well as Modified Minis and fan favorite Uncle Bob's Self Storage Street Stocks.

First 30 dads through the front gate will receive a Montgomery Motor Speedway Retro T-shirt with the original logo from 1953.

Grandstand tickets will be $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and military, $5 for children 6-12 and kids 5 and under get in free.
