CRENSHAW COUNTY, AL (WSFA) -

The man wanted in a home invasion last week in Crenshaw County and a subsequent high-speed chase in Tennessee has been arrested along with another man.

Brandon Richards, 21, and Terrell Blunt have been arrested and charged with first degree robbery and first degree burglary. More charges are possible, according to Crenshaw County authorities.

According to WSMV-TV, Richards surrendered to U.S. marshals Monday morning.

Richards and Blunt are suspects in the home invasion and armed robbery of a woman early Wednesday morning.

A woman was home alone around 4 a.m. Wednesday when she heard people kicking the door down. One man held her at gunpoint while the other ransacked her home, according to Crenshaw County investigators.

The thieves got away with between $3,000-5,000 cash, a handgun, a shot gun, a 32-inch TV, some jewelry, a purse, and some debit and credit cards, said investigator Earl Thompson.

Maury County Sheriff Enoch George told WSMV-TV that Richards and a female acquaintance were stopped by police in Brentwood, TN, and during the stop, fled at high speeds down I-65 Friday night.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol deployed spike strips in Maury County, TN. The female was taken into custody when the car stopped, and Richards reportedly fled on foot into nearby woods, according to George.

A police helicopter was searching from the air as other law enforcement officials were searching on the ground.
