PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

A 25-year-old Phenix City man was killed after being hit by a car on Highway 165 near Club Exclusive at around midnight on Saturday, June 14.

Police say Contaves Smith was crossing the four lane road when he was hit by a car driven by a Ft. Mitchell man. Smith was transported to Midtown Medical Center where he later died from blunt force trauma. He was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

No charges have been filed against the driver.
