FAIRHOPE, Ala. (AP) - Police in southern Alabama are investigating a double stabbing at a nightclub.

Fairhope police spokesman Sgt. Craig Sawyer said in a statement that a 22-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were stabbed multiple times at a nightclub and bar early Sunday morning. Sawyer says the men's wounds were serious but not life threatening. Both men were taken to a local hospital.

Sawyer says witnesses told investigators the stabbing stemmed from a fight that began inside the club and continued in the parking lot.

A detailed description of the suspect and information on what the men were fighting over wasn't immediately available.
