NASHVILLE, TN (WKRN) -

A Nashville man wanted for a murder last fall has been arrested, two days after he was added to the state’s Top 10 “Most Wanted” list.

Rodrecus Smith, 25, was wanted on murder and robbery charges following the shooting death of Mario McKnight on October 30, 2013.

He was arrested Wednesday morning after he was found hiding in a closet inside a residence on Cheyenne Boulevard in Madison.

McKnight, 35, was killed while riding in the rear of a dry cleaner’s van in the vicinity of 12th Avenue South and Argyle Avenue.

It is believed that he and the van’s driver were trying to flee a street robbery related to a nearby dice game.

Investigators say Smith and convicted felon Martez Parham are behind the fatal shooting. Parham, 22, was arrested during a traffic stop in April.

In early May, Metro police spent several hours searching the Terrace Park Townhomes in Donelson after a man believed to be Smith was spotted running into the woods.
