MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

In response to our editorial suggesting that the U.S. should not give military help to Iraq to solve the sectarian problems there, we received a number of responses:

Jeff said, "If we were to engage, to become militarily involved, we must be supported. The US military must be allowed to do what the military does best."

Cedric commented, "Iraq's political and religious divisions prevent them from being unified like a western style nation. You cannot solve ancient arguments with military intervention."

Mike wrote, "Until you (WSFA) and your audience can speak intelligently about the difference between Shia and Sunni and the extreme radical version of Sunni called Wahhabism, and that Wahhabism is the mandated State religion of Saudi Arabia and that it is the royals of Saudi Arabia funding these terrorist groups including ISIS then the majority will never understand how to fix the problem. "

And Ronald said, "We need to help.  If not they take over country after country. Then they become a super power."

As always, we welcome your comments.
