City of Prattville offices and sanitation closed July 4

PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

City offices in Prattville will be closed for the 4th of July including sanitation. There will however be other opportunities for resident to drop off items.

On July 5th The recycling center at 122 Ridgewood Road will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a garbage truck as well as a yard truck on site for residents to drop off items.

There will also be an additional garbage trucks parked in the lot at 508 McQueen Smith Road, which is behind Hancock Bank and beside Gilmore Ford, to collect garbage. They will be there from 8 a.m. to Noon. All garbage must be bagged.

"Catching up on sanitation service after a holiday is different, but we hope that this amended schedule and additional service location will accommodate our residents," said Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr. "We are looking to find innovative ways to service our patrons and afford our valuable personal family time on holidays."
