Man shot in leg overnight, suspect arrested

WEST END, OH (FOX19) -

Police arrested a man in connection with a shooting that happened overnight in the West End.

William Pernell, 40, was arrested early Monday morning for shooting Lamont McCollum.

The shooting happened late Sunday night at 1062 Linn Street. McCollum was shot in the leg but police say he is expected to make a full recovery.

Pernell was charged with felonious assault and is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Monday morning.
