With the release of Coherix ShaPix Analyzer version 9.2.0 precision manufacturers can now view full surface relationships of several different planes on a prismatic part to the upper and lower tolerances with respect to a true datum. This capability is only available using Coherix technology.

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) June 24, 2014

With the latest release of ShaPix software precision manufacturers are now able to view the profile of a surface in 3D eliminating measurement method, processing and interpretation questions, and enables accurate root cause analysis and problem resolution.

Surface profile of a precision part is now clearly displayed by showing the full surface relationships to the upper and lower planes with respect to the true plane. This expands the Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) measurements ShaPix performs in a single measurement for monitoring production processes critical to ensuring quality in manufacturing.

This new Coherix capability leads to a quicker understanding and streamlining of the process for solving problems, controlling processes, and limiting scrap. This enables production personnel, quality managers, and lab technicians to identify, solve and clearly explain root causes of problems to stakeholders, translating to more throughput and lowering costs.

The new ShaPix capability enables users to very fast, in one picture, see the relationship between multiple critical mating surfaces. You can now make sure you can see what you are doing!

Michael Mater, Chief Engineer for ShaPix states Our customers can now immediately take out the guess work on the relations between their parts planar surfaces. Measure once to know where your surfaces are. If you see a deviation from the specification, correct it!
